Improving efficiency and enhancing luminous efficacy: LED drivers should strive for higher conversion efficiencies, especially when driving high-power LEDs. This is because all power not output as light is dissipated as heat; low power conversion efficiency hinders the energy-saving effect of LEDs.

 

Reducing costs and improving affordability: In low-power (1-5W) applications, the cost of constant current drivers already accounts for nearly one-third of the total cost, approaching the cost of the light source, which hinders market adoption.
